Health

Your health shows as hearts and your blood shows in the blood bar, which is red. You look after the two separately.

Regeneration

Your health comes back on its own, slowly, when all of these conditions are true:

• you are not bleeding;
• your blood bar is full enough;
• your thirst bar is full enough;
• your hunger bar is full enough.

The No Regen message warns you when your health is not coming back.

Blood

You lose blood when bullets hit you, in barbed wire and while you bleed. See Bleeding.

When you are not bleeding, your blood slowly comes back on its own. A Blood Syringe gives some back at once.

When your blood is very low, your heart beats hard, the view shakes and the screen turns red.

Healing

• Blood Syringe
• Bandage

• The Blood Syringe gives back blood. It leaves an Empty Syringe.
• The Bandage stops bleeding.

Hold the healing item and use it. A healing item that has no effect on you is not used up.

Death

You respawn with a fresh kit. Your corpse stays on the spot with your gear. A red cross marks it on your Live Map. See Ground items.
