Infection and syringes

A zombie bite can infect you.

Signs

• The Scoreboard shows “Zombie in…” with a countdown.
• Your character takes on a green tint and your hearts change color.
• Near the end of the countdown, you hear zombie groans.

End of the countdown

At zero, you die and a zombie spawns in your place.

In a SafeZone or during your exit immunity, the countdown is paused. It starts again when you can be hurt again. In a SafeZone, a bite cannot infect you.

Cure

Hold a Cure Syringe and use it. The infection goes away.

Syringes

• Cure Syringe
• Blood Syringe
• Morphine Syringe
• Empty Syringe

• The Cure Syringe heals the infection.
• The Blood Syringe gives back the blood you lost.
• The Morphine Syringe heals a broken leg.

Each syringe works once and leaves an Empty Syringe. A syringe that has no effect on you is not used up.
