Traders
Traders sell and buy back items for Bottlecaps.

| Mechanic | His name is Bob and he buys back scrap. |
Buying and selling
Section titled “Buying and selling”Use a trader to open his shop. Each item has its own line, with a Buy button and a Sell button.
- Buy takes the price from your balance. You need enough Bottlecaps and a free slot in your inventory.
- Sell takes the item out of your inventory and adds the Bottlecaps to your balance.
Some items are not for sale and others are not bought back. The line of the item says so. Keep a free slot in your inventory before you go to a trader.

Many items carry the word “Salvage”, followed by “Sell to a trader”. They are only there to be sold. Their description also gives their resale price.
Bandits
Section titled “Bandits”No trader serves a player of Bandit rank. Killing zombies brings your humanity back up, and traders serve you again once you are no longer a Bandit.
